Right, so, someone suggests that you go down to the local rugby club … but you don’t play rugby ..?

What could you possibly get out of it if you don’t play rugby?

There’s so much more to Hartlepool Rugby Club than simply playing the game!

So why get involved with Hartlepool Rugby Club?

Let’s start with the social side of our club. The bar.

You don't have to have just rolled around in the mud with 29 other players for the afternoon or down endless pints of beer to take part in the social side of the club.

No, No, No! We are about so much more than that!

We are NOT a members only club. We are open to the general public 7 days a week and as such we want to encourage more & more people to come along and enjoy our fantastic facilities.

We host various events through the season (and the off season too!) to engage new and existing customers.

Including a Summer BBQ, Beer Festival, themed parties, regular live music, Stars In Their Eyes, Fireworks Display, Christmas Party and much much more. All of which are always very well attended!

With a big projector screen, two smaller televisions and BT / Sky Sports we are also THE venue to watch live Premier League football, Champions League, International Rugby and all other major sporting events.

Sunday night is quiz night! Join us for one of the longest running quiz nights in the town.

If it's Pub sports you're into ... well, we have a pool table and two darts boards.

If don't fancy a pint you can always grab a tea or coffee instead.

A positive asset for the local community that brings people together ...

As a club that can offer rugby to all ages we pride ourselves on maintaining a welcoming, family friendly environment for all.

Community is at the heart of everything we do and is one of our 4 core values (Community, Teamwork, Friendship, Respect).

We aim to support this belief through engaging with local people, providing opportunities and strengthening partnerships with local charities including Alice House Hospice & Miles For Men.

You will even see an army of us out & about in the local area from time to time picking up litter!

This community focus was recently recognised by the Rugby Football Union when we were rewarded with a visit from Rugby World Cup winner and three time British & Irish Lion Neil Back.

There are opportunities here at Mayfield Park for you to make a contribution too. If you're looking to expand your CV, gain experience or simply want to give a little back - we have many volunteer roles just waiting to be filled by enthusiastic people!

You don't have to play rugby, to be part of something exciting ...

This is a great time to join us at Mayfield Park! We are a forward thinking club that continues to grow and go from strength to strength.

There is a community hub and great entertainment right here on your doorstep and we'd love to catch up with you sometime! Come along & get involved!
