Winlaton Preview
Weather permitting, Hartlepool travel north on Saturday to take on Winlaton at Axwell View in a D&N 2 league game.
When the two sides last met in October, Winlaton stole a win with a last minute winner. Sean Wiles makes 4 changes from the side that finished well against Barnard Castle, in the forwards , captain Andy Small and Andy Wray have failed to shake off injuries and are replaced by Sam Williams and Neil Stead respectable. Andy Palmer is struggling with a groin injury and is replaced by big Tom Johnson who makes a welcome return after two months out. Tom on Wednesday played for the Durham Presidents XV against Northumberland.
In the backs, Adam Ainley is unwell and is replaced with Patrick Wilson moving from scrum half to stand off and Jim Greensmith starting at scrum half. Despite the personel change Pool have a strong squad and will be looking to gain revenge on the last gasp winner when the two sides met.
