We are proud to announce that we have a number of our WaGs going for trials in the next couple of months.

Nicole and Grace have been invited to a day trial at the Northern Centre of Excellence. Both girls have impressed last season at under 15s and now they move to u18s next season they have picked up a trial.

The Centre of Excellence is the next step on the player pathway after county representation. Both girls played a big part in Durham u15s success last season. The trial takes place in September and we wish both girls good luck.

Should they be successful they will join under 18 player Sophie Derbyshire who was successful at trial last season. Sophie had a solid season for Durham County u18s and Rovers and was invited into the CoE.

The next step of the payer pathway is the England under 18 Talent Development Group and we are delighted to announce that Sophie has been invited to a 4 day trial. The trial takes place in August and it will test Sophie to the limit. We wish Sophie the best of luck for the trial and will keep everything crossed for her.

Ladies player Ellie was already in the England TDG and she too will go back for retrial in August. Ellie joined our ladies last season when she turned 17 but still plays her junior rugby for her home town club Horden & Peterlee. Good luck Ellie.

This is fantastic news for our Women's and Girls section and more success for us to celebrate. Again, it proves the commitment we have to our players and the track record we have for producing talented rugby players.

We welcome all players to our teams. It doesn't matter if you are a complete new comer or a seasoned veteran. We focus on enjoyment and being inclusive. We have teams from school year 7 through to our ladies team.
