On Friday 28th October at a dinner to raise funds for the junior academy at Hartlepool Rovers FC will feature Sir Gareth Edwards, widely regarded as the greatest scrum half and arguably the greatest all-round player in the history of the game. Gareth, 67 years young, represented Wales 53 times between 1967 and 1978 also representing the British Lions 10 times between 1968 and 1974 as well as representing "The Barbarians" and scoring the greatest try ever scored against The All Blacks in 1973.

There has already been significant interest in attending the event and as it will be held within the clubhouse and as a proper rugby dinner tables are at a premium therefor we suggest early booking.

There is the usual items attached to a dinner within the sports area in that there will be a 3 course meal, raffles and an sports memorabilia auction that links in with our guest.

We also wish to thank two local businesses for supporting this event; Seymour's Civil Engineering and Hart Biologicals as without their support this event would not have been possible. Both companies are big supporters of Hartlepool Rovers FC.
