The season for our Youth Section is now over. I would like to thank all of the players, parents, coaches, and volunteers for making it another success

Our numbers have increased again this year and we now have well over 100 youngster registered with the club all playing games and training regularly. This is brilliant for the section. We also have a girls section which has become a dominant team in the region. Our Little Monkeys were formed last season and they regularly have 15 to 20 pre-school kids all enjoying rugby. So a big congratulations to everyone involved.
Next season will see us grow further and have more teams than ever.
We will have:
Little Monkeys – 18 months to reception year. Mixed sex.
Under 7 (tag) – school year 1 & 2. Mixed sex
Under 8 (tag) – School year 3. Mixed sex
Under 9 – School Year 4. Mixed sex
Under 10 – School Year 5. Mixed Sex
Under 11 – School year 6. Mixed sex
Under 12 boys – School year 7.
Under 13 girls – School year 7 & 8
Under 14/15 boys – School year 8, 9, & 10
Under 15 girls – School year 9 & 10
This means we will have a full rugby opportunities for boys and girls from 18 months to school year 10. All teams have a busy fixture list and we are really excited about watching or teams continue on their rugby journey.
Dates for the start of next season will be published as soon as these are finalised with team coaches and managers. Some of the older teams will start back earlier whilst some of the younger teams will return in August. Our girls team will continue training with skill clinics each Thursday night 6pm – 7pm.
We do need more volunteers to help out. Response this season has been fantastic with more help with coaching, kitchen, events, safeguarding, and lots of other jobs that need doing but often go unnoticed.
The future is certainly bright with our junior section and we are on track to have teams for all ages and sexes within 3 years.
