WEEKEND REVIEW
Both senior games were abandoned halfway through on Saturday because of the heavy rain.
This was probably just as well as both the 1st and 2nds batted first and failed to post a decent score to defend. The 1sts were away at Winshill and were 165 all out off 44 overs at tea. Stars with the bat were Mazhar Iqbal (41), Neil Counter (44) and young Dan Mawbey continuing his good form with 23.
The 2nds were at home against Alrewas and managed 155 with The Limpet* (Kev Slater)knocking 80 and last man Steven Tomlin hitting 13 (yes, you did read that correctly!!)
This leaves the 1st sitting mid-table whilst the 2nds are hovering just above the relegation places. A run of good weather could change everything!
