Chairmans Programme Notes

WELCOME TO SCROOBY ROAD
Hello everyone and welcome to the Recreational Ground for todays Central Midlands League North Game V Phoenix.
It’s a big week for the Club as we not only have todays game but the Floodlit Cup against Ollerton Town on Tuesday, its one everyone has been looking forward to but we must not lose Focus on todays game and as Lee has put in his notes Phoenix we believe will be a different team from the one we played 6 weeks ago as they have turned things round with some impressive wins so we know we will need to be at It from the off.
Just a quick word on that game though and the support we had away on a freezing cold afternoon in January was something else, 24 we totted up which to some will think that’s not a lot but there wont be that many teams in one even two leagues above us that have taken that away with them and we was delighted we could score a few goals for them,, I as ever thank you for your continued support.
As you can see we have had a new Cabin delivered in the week, we have a few decisions to be made as to what to do with it and where it will go but will be an asset to us whatever we decide, well done to the Gaffer for sourcing it and it shows that we are always looking at ways to improve what we have, we are limited with Funds true but not with ambition and hard work and I know quite a few people continue to ask what is happening with this and that from a ground improvements point of view but what I can tell you all is that plans are in hand to extend the walls behind the goal and other things in the pipeline, we have a list of things we know we need to do if we want to ever progress out of this league and we will get there, not as fast as some would like but we are a club running with limited numbers and resources and we are on track I can assure you all of that.
Anyway onto Todays game we hope its an enjoyable one for all of you and make sure you keep fully nourished and refreshed in Toms Tea Room, we also hope to see as many of you as possible on Tuesday as well as we make the short trip down the A614, 3 points today though is the main priority
Cheers Jonny Wilson
