Match report from Saturdays 5-1 defeat at the hands of Hallam

A crowd of 204 were present for this Toolstation north east Counties division one fixture.
It took the home side just three minutes to open the scoring, Micah Bishop latching onto a through ball and lobbing keeper Gamble. The Colliery kept going, and after fifteen minutes were awarded a penalty when Brandon Ashmore was fouled in the area, Matty Robinson made no mistake from the spot.
The hosts though went back in front five minutes later when from a free kick just inside the Colliery half, was played to the back post where Tyler Bradley rose to head home. Hallam wasted a couple of good chances to extend their lead before the interval, but fortunately for the away side they were wasted and they went in just one goal behind.
The Colliery were now defending the slope, and managed just thirteen minutes without conceding before Bishop added his second and the home sides third. Instead of staying on the pitch and looking to complete his hat trick, Bishop produced a reckless challenge inside the Colliery half on Adam Colton and promptly received a straight red from the referee.
The visitors though could not take advantage of the man advantage and Kieran Watson in the seventh fourth and eighty third minute added two further goals to make the scoreline five goals to one and a well deserved win for the Sheffield side.
