Preview ahead of todays home game V Skegness Town

Good afternoon and welcome to the players, Officials and Supporters of Skegness Town, and it’s a very quick turn around given as we only played each other two weeks ago but the league has thrown up a few fixtures like this thus far.
It has all the hallmarks of a trademark six pointer where a win will take the colliery out of the relegation zone and pull Skegness Town into it, the game a few weeks back was a difficult one to take, more so given the fantastic support the club had, we believe just under 50 although a large number stayed in the excellent bar area where a lot viewed the game from given the bracing Lincolnshire coastal wind. That game saw the lads go down 2-1 to really two very fortunate goals by Courtney Warren and Daniel Stevens just 6 minutes from time, the game ended even worse for the Colliery as Gaz Mundy who has been excellent since returning was sent off.
Skegness also called the Lilywhites are just like us back in the NCEL after going up from the Lincs League and have an amazing new ground named the Vertigo stadium after their previous ground was sold to developers.
They clearly have the facilities that wouldn't look out of place in the evo stick so are very fortunate in that respect and I must say left very jealous with their hospitality and bar area, lets hope we get to visit it again next yea-
Skeggy last played in the NCEL back in 1982-1983 just like us but just had the one season in the Premier division and so again just like us are taking their time to find their feet and every game is absolutely crucial, Skeggy should have played midweek but there game away to Selby Town was cruelly cancelled to the weather at 18:50, the Saturday before they went down 3-1 to Worsbrough Bridge so should have had three away games on the spin but then have three at home to Emley, Rossington and Armthorpe where the Colliery face their next three all away so its vital that we make the home advantage count today which we very nearly did last week against an excellent Hallam side, Matty Robbo missing a penalty in the 85th minute, heartbreak for the lads but the battling attributes we hope will stand us in good stead now.
Jordan Smith is their top marksman in all competitions with 8 goals so one to watch today, Fouldsy was on the scoresheet last time around and will be hoping to improve on his tally of just three but has been blighted by injury and with his old man as Match Sponsor will be our one to watch today
All the very best and we hope you enjoy the game, safe trip home to you all afterwards
