The Colliery will go into the new season with a whole new set up that we hope will give us the platform for improvement in all areas.

The Colliery go into Season 2015-2016 with a new set up as they are delighted that once again the Under 19's under the management of Mark Latham and Steve Wibberley have been accepted into the North Midlands Development League, which includes the likes of Sheffield United and Worksop Town so a great challenge.
As well as this the club made the difficult decision to just go with two teams on a Saturday and Lee Anderson who managed the 3rd team last season has stepped up to take over the Reserves with Mark concentrating his efforts on running the 19's and getting back to fitness to play on Saturdays.
It is hoped a number of last years 3rds will follow Billy and make the step up and will be looking to include a good nucleus of the 19's as well as last seasons reserves squad.
We had noticed a decline in young players coming through and playing Saturday Senior Football so it was imperative that we got the 19's back involved and get them pushing for the reserves and the 1sts, the club are looking forward and although some are obviously disapointed that there wont be a third team we have to do what we feel is the best approach for the long term and the whole of the club not just a few individuals.
We would like to thank the Doncaster League for their organisation and hard work for the last few seasons the Thirds played in and we wish the league all the success.
