Hawks is one of the largest women’s lacrosse clubs in the country with more than 160 playing members. We try to provide the right level of lacrosse for every player and this will remain at the heart of everything we do. The club is run by a small committee of volunteers, supported by a growing network of people (who are also volunteers) looking after everything from kit and social events, to tours, umpiring and team management.
We always welcome new members of any age and experience, including beginners. Hawks offers a friendly, nurturing environment for young and older players. The club aims are for players to develop at their own pace; get to know and love the game – and, most importantly, have fun!
We offer junior and senior coaching and match play in West Herts and South Bucks. Home matches are played in Tring and Berkhamsted. Training sessions take place in Berkhamsted, Rickmansworth and Chesham on the following days;

There are currently three teams playing in the South East Women’s Lacrosse League; Hawks 1’s play in the Premiership, Hawks 2’s and Hawks Alchemy (made of junior players) play in Division 1. The youngest player is nine and the oldest player is 40-something!
Hawks is Clubmark accredited. In 2014 it was awarded High Performing Club status by English Lacrosse – one of only three Clubs in the country to have achieved the accolade. This was recognition of its tangible commitment to enabling players of all ages, and all abilities, to realise their full potential as lacrosse players. This vision requires a pursuit of excellence both on and off the pitch. The clubs’ work on the pitch is underpinned by a developmental culture, leadership approach and range of processes and policies off the pitch.
