Hatfield Peverel FC promoted to the Border League Premier Division as Champions.

After a long, arduous season that entailed many up's and down's for the Blue and Black, Saturday came the moment all had been waiting for - but none had expected.

University of Essex Reserves loss at Alresford, coupled with Hatfield Peverel receiving the three points for the Coggeshall game meant that the First Team were crowned the new Division One Champions by a single point.

Although Hatfield went into the season with plenty of optimism after a good pre-season and several new and returning old faces, few would have expected to lift the league trophy and achieve it in such a manner, only losing one league game all season.

Hatfield Peverel will be presented with the League winners trophy on Thomson Day by a Border League representative.

Victorous First Team Manager Terry Hayden could not hide his delight at the news, "Now having time to reflect on the final weekend and a two year journey all culminating in an emotional 40 minutes in front of my eyes at Alresford I will never forget."
He continued, "Guys, Thank You for all your efforts; the good, the bad, the up's and down's of what a season brings to football. You have played and represented Me, Steve, Rob and Keith, aswell as Hatfield Peverel Football Club on and off the pitch in fantastic style".

Congratulations to Terry, Steve, Rob and all of the First Team squad on a marvellous achievement. The Club waits with bated breath for the new season to begin as the Elite of the Premier Division grace the Keith Bigden Memorial Ground next season.
