WELCOME TO HAVANT NETBALL CLUB
Havant Borough Council first set up the Club in 2000 and our then Head Coach Sue Ashman continued to run the Club with the support of Havant Borough Council.
In 2002 the Club became involved with the Active Sports Initiative under the guidance of Priya Samuel, the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Development Officer for Netball.
In 2003 the Club was launched as an independent club affiliated to England Netball. This allowed players more opportunities for competitive matches.
The Club currently has approximately 60 members.
The Club has a constitution run by an elected committee and each family who has a player in the Club is entitled to a vote at the Annual General Meeting held annually in the Autumn. The Committee meet regularly to plan the forthcoming programme and undertake any administrative and fund raising tasks.
The Club always requires support from parents who are able to give a little of their time. Committee roles need to be filled annually i.e.: Vice chairperson - Chairperson - Treasurer - Club Secretary - Affiliation Secretary - Publicity/Fund Raising Officer - Club Coaches.
