Mason Newman had a shot saved by away goalkeeper Dan Gentry and put the rebound into the right side netting ten minutes later before his side’s lead was doubled after 23 minutes, the ball coming to Hill left of the goal and, after he took a quick touch to bring the ball under control, he put a low shot past Gentry at this near post.
A great save from Gentry denied Bradley a second goal before Alex Vincent’s well taken lob from the edge of the area gave Swaffham hope just before half time as it made the score 2-1.
In the second half Haverhill continued to dominate proceedings, Gentry’s foot denying Newman after Marcus Hunt’s long diagonal ball put him in on goal, Rory Jebb’s shot being saved at the near post minutes later with home ‘keeper Charlie Turner saving Vincent’s header in between.
Gentry again denied Jebb, this time from eight yards out after Hill’s square ball and the assistant referee’s flag staying down.
Seconds later, with 68 minutes gone, Swaffham equalised, the ball being played through the middle and Vincent’s firm shot from the edge of the area was met by Turner’s hand but it was too much for him to keep it out of the net.
Hunt headed just wide in the 71st minute, the ball going inches away from a sliding Jebb close to goal, Bradley hitting a 20 yard shot just wide of the mark as the host will wonder how they didn’t score more on the day.
Two minutes into added time they almost lost the one point they had left, Vincent’s 20 yard shot initially sending Turner the wrong way but the shot stopper adjusted to tip the ball over the bar.
