An excellent save from home goalkeeper Alex Archer after 12 minutes denied Mickey Davis from scoring from eight yards out after some wonderful one/two touch passing, Haverhill's goal coming on the half hour mark after Jake Noble squared the ball to Prince Mutswunguma, who found space around three defenders before putting a left foot shot the other way into the bottom right corner past a rooted Archer.

Archer palmed away a shot from the right corner of the area from Davis in the 83rd minute, substitute Mark Lovell heading Jemel Fox's chipped cross from the left side of the bye line over the Newmarket bar from close range as the 90th minute turned over.
Five minutes into injury time Joe Bennett was shown his second caution, and a red card, for dissent, Tyrone Alleyne following less than a minute later after he was booked for disputing Bennett's second caution and, less than 10 seconds later, saw a straight red card for a rash challenge.
