Hayle U7’s put in a top performance on their return after a few weeks break with a strong win away at St Ives. On a clear sunny morning St Ives started well to score first. Hayle replied quickly as Max attacked through the centre and scored a fine try. He soon added his second after showing great reactions to win the ball and swiftly took advantage. Hayle started to dominate the middle of the pitch with strong tagging from Jack, Jonty and Dylan. Soon after Noah won the ball and broke well to score. Jonty finished a fine half with a great try to give Hayle a 4 - 1 lead. In the second half Hayle continued to work hard with Jack, Max and Ben tagging well and making good breaks. Jonty broke wide and set Noah up for his second try. Hayle were able to keep play up in the St Ives half and Noah pushed through to score again. Dylan was rewarded with a fine try after an outstanding run just before the end of the half. With the referee allowing an additional 10 minutes of play Hayle continued to dominate. Ben and Max both scored with great breaking runs. St Ives pushed forward to score a well deserved try. Then, Captain Jack took his chance to score just before the end with a quick burst down the wing.
Man of the Match was Jack for his all round effort.
