Hayle demolished their Devon rivals with a comprehensive six try victory at the Memorial Park. The home side opened their account on 22 minutes with a try scored by outside half Mark Britton following a strong break by centre Steve Evans, Ashley Hosking adding the conversion. Hayle were keen to run the ball at every opportunity and centre Sam Newman crossed for a try wide out on 35 minutes, again converted by Hosking. Speedy winger Adam Cope claimed his seventh try of the season after 40 minutes but the visitors then managed a score of their own against the run of play just before the whistle to reduce the arrears to 19-5. The Lions maintained the pressure in the second half and winger Talan Daniels scored a brace of tries on 56 and 75 minutes, before prop Mike Laity rounded off the scoring when he barged over the line on 80 minutes. Hosking converted to record a fine 36-5 win.
