Hayle avenged their defeat at Torrington a week ago with a convincing win against the Devon outfit at the Memorial Park. The Lions ran in two tries in the first half, flanker Rob Heath and lock Tom Barber claiming the scores and centre Adam Cope converting both for a 14-0 lead at the break. Winger Talan Daniels showed his pace early in the second half with a 60 metre sprint to the line for a try which Cope converted. Torrington hit back with a try from winger Declan Tattersall on 50 minutes, converted by scrum-half Danny Hoyle, but any hopes of a revival were dashed as the home side added three late tries through hooker Rob Turner, outside-half Rob Goodman and number eight Tony Matthews, Cope adding two conversions to round off a fine victory.
