Heath host 700 children on a sunny Sunday afternoon

1 month ago By Tracey Spuyman

Haywards Heath RFC hosted over 700 mini rugby players from 10 different rugby clubs at Whitemans Green last Sunday...

...with the autumn sunshine adding to the success of what has become a very popular and well-supported Mini Festival.
With age groups from under 7 to under 11 taking part it was a busy day at the Club and the high standard of mini rugby on display, particularly from the home age groups, made the event an all-round success for the many youngsters taking part and the volunteers who give so much of their time to make these events happen in Mid Sussex.

The photographs show the two Heath under 11 teams who were complimented on the excellence of their age appropriate rugby skills, especially their discipline, passing and teamwork by a number of the opposing teams’ coaches. If you would like to get involved in mini rugby at Heath, sponsored by The Orchards, for ages from under 6 to under 11, new players are welcome to join at any time.
