Whilst Heath RAMS were busy winning the Sussex Vase Final at East Grinstead a significant proportion of the club were away on end of season tours.

A squad made up mainly of Heath 1st XV players travelled to the south coast of Ireland to take part in the world famous Kinsale 7s tournament. Playing under the name of the Disco Balls Rugby squad the team played some fantastic rugby over the two days before eventually losing in the final of the Mens Open competition to a side called the King Prawns from London. Runners Up in their first serious 7s tournament was a great effort from the boys and the experience will hopefully drive similar tours in the future.

Back in the UK the entire Heath mini section headed to North Devon for the West Coast Rocks Rugby festival. The age groups played their rugby over two days at Bideford RFC against sides from the Midlands, London, Wales as well as the West country. Each of the minis teams gave a very good account of themselves with a number of them being overall champions in their respective age category. The victorious Under 12 squad picked up winners medals and the trophy to end an unbeaten season.

Perhaps the highlight of the weekend was the Minis traditional BBQ on Woolacombe beach where around 400 Heath players and supporters dressed as Vikings to party on the sand and watch the sunset on the Saturday night. What goes on tour stays on tour at Heath!
