England rugby legend at 60th Anniversary City lunch

1 week ago By Tracey Spuyman

Neil Back MBE will be entertaining the 130 guests at this SOLD OUT fund-raising event...

Back by popular demand, the HHRFC City Lunch returns next week to raise much-needed funds for the Clubhouse. We are delighted to confirm that we will be joined by the one and only Neil Back MBE, the unforgettable England and Leicester Tigers open-side flanker, who will be sharing his rugby experiences, amusing anecdotes and stories - not to mention a few secrets - with the SOLD OUT audience.

Rugby legend Neil Back made his mark on the face of international rugby throughout his long career. Renowned for his passion, dedication and incredible skill on the pitch, his tenacity and spirit guaranteed that he was an instrumental part of England’s 2003 world cup winning side.

His career saw him achieve an incredible 339 caps for Leicester Tigers - he remains the top try scorer in the history of the Club with 125 tries, 66 caps for England with three World Cup campaigns including the victorious 2003 winning team, and three tours with the British & Irish Lions where he was awarded five caps.

At Leicester Neil played alongside fellow rugby legend Martin Johnson and was part of a team so successful that the 2000/01 season saw Leicester collect trophies for the Zurich Premiership and Zurich Championship, as well as the Heineken Cup at Parc des Princes. Along the way Neil captained both Leicester Tigers and England and played a significant role in the success of both.

We are excited to hear what Neil has to say about his long and distinguished playing and coaching careers and look forward to hearing the many behind-the-scenes tales he must have.
