Over 300 Heath minis and juniors made the long trip to Great Yarmouth over the May bank holiday weekend on an end of season Rugby Tour.

Over 100 teams took part in the competition with clubs from as far afield as Kent, Essex, Bucks, Leicestershire, Northants, London, Suffolk and Norfolk making it a strong competition with new challenges and styles of play for the Sussex representatives to get to grips with. Heath not only played hard but partied hard as well with a mass barbeque in glorious sunshine on Hembsy Beach on the Saturday evening being attended by all the club tourists dressed in Hawaiian outfits.

Sunday was another full day of rugby with Heath acquitting themselves more than creditably with their style of play regularly commended by other teams’ coaches - two age groups, the Under 7s (shown in photo) and Under 11s - went on to win the overall competition at their respective age groups showing Heath's quality when competing at a national level. Not only was it great to see the younger players enjoying their first rugby tour but also that the tour was supported and attended by some Heath stalwarts from yesteryear who were clearly proud to see the club colours flying in Norfolk.

Heath welcomes players of all ages at any time - the minis and juniors train every Sunday at Whitemans Green throughout the season from September to April.
