thanks to Jezza for letting me know someone reads these, albeit he is stuck on a bus somewhere and pretty desperate

In 2010 we had the return match against Wighill Park, and having been on the receiving end of nearly 400 a few weeks before, they didn't hesitate in choosing to bat, which made for a quickish game

In 2011 we endured a rather dour match at Rufforth that constituted part of the great LBW drought of 2011, with bowlers pulling up lame, the colonel came the fore

think I was referring to a qualified ECB Umpire in ECB Premier Level Cricket getting the thumbs down from the village oppo having travelled 200 miles with his kit. Oppo on the Sunday told us they were playing "3rd teamers" and picked half a dozen 1/2s players - that's why we dumped an otherwise decent fixture.

The father/son combo tag team didn't help. Hows that Dad, that's out Son lol. Froz match report is a modern classic in the pissed off captain stakes lol

Father Son combo tag team clearly didn't help, Colonel 'Dad, they won't let you umpire'
