Sydney captain and Australian wicketkeeper Brad Haddin has smashed 76 runs to guide the Sixers to a seven-wicket victory over Brisbane in the opening Big Bash Twenty20 match at the SCG. Earlier, 40-year-old spin bowler Stuart MacGill returned from a three-year retirement to take two wickets and help restrict Brisbane to 139-8. Black Cap Brendon McCullum made only five for the visitors, in an innings played in two parts after he copped a Brett Lee short ball to the face and began bleeding.
