and the pair looked in good form before Ian unusually mistimed a full toss from Matthew Wood to offer up a routine catch to Anthony Wood. Matty Williams departed with the score on 21 clean bowled by Wood, Manton and Andy Filipowicz set about consolidating for HCC moving the score along to 64 before Manton departed for 21.

took the score from 64 to 149 with both batsmen looking in great nick, Andy passing his 50 and motoring on with six huge 6s largely in the direction of the Bowling Green before falling for 87 being clean bowled by Todd.

in the middle and immediately continued where he left of in last weeks HT20 finals day, working the ball around well and keeping the scoreboard ticking towards the 200 mark before a calling mix up saw Tony run out for 45.
Ifty Hussain entered the scene with two great undefeated knocks under his belt against Barwick already this season and quickly was on the offensive, Jezza departed to be replaced by Jim Hinks
who quickly found the bowling green too before becoming Wood’s 4th victim and HCC finished on 232-7 with Ifty 19 not out and Stelfox 4 not out.
HCC opened up their bowling with the same pair against Matthew Wood and Cameron Hardy and the breakthrough wasn’t long in coming, as Ifty found the edge of Wood’s bat and Stelfox took the catch at 2nd slip, some awful calling saw Skipper Todd run out thanks to great work from Tony Williams
and Steve Manton
, and Hardy was then clean bowled by Ifty
Barwick number 4 Hilton Bellis immediately took the attack back to HCC punishing anything wide but was losing partners at regular intervals, Tom Harper became the 4th batsmen to foolishly take on the big ginger bear’s arm this season and fail as a powerful accurate throw saw him run out. Straight after drinks Ifty found the edge of Swift's bat and again Stelfox pouched at second slip again, Tony Wood and Bellis stuck around well for their team, but Dave Wyatt
got the prized wicket of Bellis who had progressed to 41, skying a chance for Stelfox to take his 3rd catch.
Manton caught Perkins off Skippers bowling as HCC closed in on the win, Wood was playing some decent shots, but his partners were departing regularly, with dark clouds looming, Ifty was recalled to the attack for his last couple of overs and Matty JJ Marshall replaced Stelfox, Ifty immediately bowled Styan, Matt Marshall collected his first wickets for the club, getting Wood caught by Dave Wyatt
and the Adams stumped by Manton as Barwick in Elmet finished on 110 all out.
