A goalless draw was a fair reflection of a game in which neither side could cope with a fierce cross wind. In a first half almost devoid of goalmouth action neither goalkeeper had a save to make. The second half saw a marginal improvement & Headington should have taken the lead early on. Ollie Zaja's run in to the penalty area saw him upended as he was about to shoot in the 48th minute, but the same player's spot kick was comfortably saved by Anthony Brown. At the other end Benji Cuff had to clear off the goal line following a Malmesbury corner kick, & in the last minutes of the match Brown distinguished himself with a double save from Headington's Liam Morbey.
