3 wins and a draw in a great weekend for HMCC
1st XI beat Wilmslow CC by 7 wickets
A confident team bowling performance restricted Wilmslow to 104-9 before an assured chase saw Mersey knock off the runs for the loss of 3 wickets, to see the 1s record back to back wins for the first time in 2 years.

2nd XI beat Northwich by 10 wickets
Ali Shah continued his fine form with the balll to knock over Northwich for 79 before Mersey made quick work of the total to put the 2s back in the mix at the top end of the table.

3rd XI beat Brooklands by 2 wickets
After Akil Saleem bulldozed the opposition for only 50 runs, the Mersey batsmen went about the low total the hard way, with a batting performance to forget, eventually sneaking over the line 8 down. A win's a win!

4th XI draw with Lindow
A strong Lindow side put the Mersey bowlers to the sword, racking up a large total. In response a top order collapse left a young Mersey tail with an uphill battle to rescue anything from game but great determination saw the lads bat it out with one wicket remaining.
