I am taking this opportunity to thank all concerned who arranged to turn the "Allegedly" Rugby Club Presidents Lunch, into a celebration of my 90th Birthday.

It was like "All Our Yesterdays" and "This is Your Life" rolled into one, so a big thank you to all who came along to share this occasion with me, also for the cards, gifts and good wishes.

I was flattered by the tributes paid to me for my efforts over the years, but am very much aware that there are others who have done very much more both on and off the pitch. In particular I am
thinking of the team that led the Rugby Club negotiations with our friends and neighbours at "Mersey" leading to the merger and the thriving multi sports club we have today.

I would also add that my own efforts depended on a lot of back up from club members and my family especially "Ada" a very patient and understanding wife.

Finally a thank you to Stuart and his able team, for an excellent meal and their valuable contribution to the occasion.
