Moor vs Aston on Mersey

A perfect day for a game of rugby, sunshine blustery showers and a good squad turned in at Aston, a new fixture for the under 11. Aston only could only raise a team of 9 (inc one big lad playing down) where we brought 17, so in the spirit of good rugby we lent Aston 3 of our backs.

Bec with the start in to there forwards we were quick on them and a scum, Aston win but moor closed them down hard, Another scrum we win, ball out and spinn the ball out the line through the backs, Great ruck Liam across the face of all there players and try Henry converts Very competitive first period most of the game plaid in there half There big lad is there target for all set prices, ball get to him from a ruck and scored and converts 7 -7 Penalty Henry nipped close to the line and rolling maul over Oliver J Scored Converted 7-14 Henry snatch from back of scrum on the blind try and converted 7-21 Aston re asserting and try converted 14-21 End of second period Another swap around of boys Much more competitive the period Ripped the ball from there big lads Luke conerly dogged 3 tackles and try not converted 14-26. Last period Strings of tackles kept Aston at bay but a hard team to keep down. A great run from Luke and Oliver J ran a fantastic support try Not converted 14-31 Aston didn't give up until final whistle and a scrappy last min try Converted 21-31.
