New Manager – Hemel Hempstead Town FC

Hemel Hempstead Town FC are proud to announce that Tommy Widdrington has today agreed to become the new 1st Team Manager of the club. Tommy brings a wealth of experience from both the professional and non league games. Tommy’s previous coaching/managerial positions include most recently, assistant manager at League 2 Southend United. Prior to this he spent more than 5 years at Salisbury City as both 1st team manager and 1st team coach. Tommy’s professional playing days began at Southampton where he made 95 Premier League appearances before being sold on to Grimsby (for a then club record fee). Tommy went on to make 90 appearances for Port Vale in The Championship and 60 appearances for Hartlepool United getting them promoted to League 1. Tommy’s professional career ended at the end of 2004 where he made 60 appearances for Macclesfield Town.

Tommy brings with him Alan Kimble as his Assistant Manager/1st Team Coach. Off the field Alan was Assistant Manager at Gravesend & Northfleet. He also held the position of Manager of Aveley for a short while in 2010.

Upon leaving Wimbledon, Alan had spells at clubs INCLUDING: Luton Town, and Dagenham & Redbridge.

We wish both Tommy and Alan all the best in their new venture!
