The Tudors host The Magpies at Vauxhall Road this Saturday.

Last time at Vauxhall Road, The Tudors won 3-1 against Chelmsford City; Ed Oshodi and Matty Harriott scored early goals before City pulled a goal back by half time. Substitute Kyle Connolly put the game beyond the visitors reach with a late third goal for Hemel which handed us our first home league win since 7th February and extend our unbeaten run to three games. Last Saturday we travelled the short journey to championship hopefuls Boreham Wood, who went in to the game with our divisions second best home form. ’Wood scored in the first half and maintained their lead throughout the game to clinch a valuable three points which moved them back to the top of the league table.

Despite the defeat, The Tudors remain in eight place in the league table and still only five points off Gosport Borough who occupy the last play-off spot in fifth place, we also have a game in hand on them. However, we face Concord and Whitehawk in our next two away league games, they’re in the two positions above us and also hopeful of clinching a play-off spot. Concord are the Conference South’s best team on current form, unbeaten in their last 13 league games, so it’s going to be a challenging final month of the season for not just Hemel but all the teams still in the promotion race.

This is the second time we’ve met Maidenhead this season; back in August we visited them and won 0-2, Oliver Hawkins and James Simmonds with the goals for our only league win during a four week period. Maidenhead go in to this game on the back of a run of eight consecutive league games without a win, losing sixe and drawing two. Their last win was on 14th February at home to Chelmsford City. Last weekend The Magpies lost 1-2 at home to Gosport Borough. Maidenhead are without a league win on the road in their last 11 away games.

We look forward to an entertaining clash and offer a warm welcome to our visitors from Maidenhead.

Entry to this game will be via the main Vauxhall Road turnstile ONLY. The turnstile at the Tenzing Road side of the stadium (located in the car park of the Dacorum Education Support Centre) will NOT be open for the game; likewise the car park there is unavailable for fans. Visitors to Vauxhall Road travelling by car should seek alternative parking arrangements and consider public car parks at nearby Queens Square and the car park at Travellodge/Toby Carvery accessible from Maylands Avenue, both of which are just a short walk away.

Next up for The Tudors, in just two days time we’re at Concord Rangers on Bank Holiday Monday, 3pm kick off. We’re back at home in the league next Saturday, with our Hertfordshire rivals Bishop’s Stortford coming to Vauxhall Road; then three days later on Tuesday 14th March is the Herts Senior Cup Final at the County Ground, Letchworth where we face current cup holders Boreham Wood again. The Tudors Supporters Club is running a coach to the cup final.
