Hereford win place in cup final
Today Hereford Rugby Football Club Colts earned their place in the North Midlands RFU Colts Cup Final with a comprehensive win over Birmingham Solihull Colts by five tries to two. Hereford controlled the first half registering tries from Ewan Proctor, Jurijs Kudrjavcevs and Joe Vaughan, Bryn Goodall converted two. Birmingham Solihull’s only reply was a penalty goal taking the half time score to 19 points to 3. Hereford added two further tries in the second period from Ewan Proctor and Rhys Samuels, Bryn Goodall converted Samuels’ try. Birmingham Solihull also notched up a brace of second half tries, they converted one which took the final score to 31 points to 15.
Former club first XV captain, Luke Yarranton commented that “it was some of the best colts rugby I’ve ever seen”. Hereford will now go on to meet local rivals Luctonians in the final for the second year running. Date and venue for the final has not yet been confirmed, It will possibly be May 6th when confirmed it will be posted here.
