In the calendar year from January to December 2014 Hermes played 24 league games, winning 18 and only losing two, with four draws; seventy league goals were scored for the loss of twenty-seven.

In the various cups, out of 16 ties, twelve were won, with only a single reverse. However, of the three cup draws, Hermes were successful in only one penalty shoot-out, losing the other two.

One unusual feature of the five cup ties Hermes played between January and June 2014 is that they did not concede any goals.

However after three 0-0 draws they lost two penalty shoot outs!

So altogether a total of 40 games were played, yielding 30 wins, 7 draws and 3 defeats.

Highlights of 2014 included reaching the semi-final of the GA Engineering Inter Regional Cup and only losing to Luncarty in a penalty shoot-out, starting this season with an 18 match unbeaten run, including a memorable Scottish Cup win over Glasgow giants Petershill, recording our first ever win in Ayrshire at Dalry and lifting the Grill League Cup with a convincing win against Maud at Davidson Park , Longside.

Top scorer during 2014 was Lee Smith with 24 goals, not bad for a defender!

Calum Murray and David Stevenson chipped in with 10 each, followed by Michael Dawson with 8 and Stephen Jack with 7.
