Peter Guise previews the week ahead for Herne Bay Football Club.

Matches scheduled for week commencing Saturday 21st March 2015.

First XI

With the unbeaten record breaking 10 match run now behind them the First Team travel to Corinthan Casuals this Saturday seeking to start a final charge on a possible play-off berth with a win. It’s a task made harder by the defeat at home to Burgess Hill and Whyteleafe’s win at the Hillians in mid week. A winning last six match run would, however, keep the Bay in contention.

U21s

The U21s are the Champions of the East Division of the NRG Gyms U21 Development League. They now have three more games in the regular season before the play-offs with the West Division to negotiate in their bid to become overall Champions. The first of those is this Saturday when last year’s champions, University of Kent, visit The Field of Dreams.

Then on Tuesday night, Dover Rangers provide the opposition as Allan Birchard looks to keep his team match fit and ready for the play-offs.

U18s

The U18s have their last chance to get to a Cup Final this season when they travel to Phoenix Sports for the semi-final of the Kit to Fit Challenge Cup. It hasn’t been plain sailing for the U18s this term and they will want to give themselves a chance of finishing the season with silverware.

KO at The Phoenix Sports Ground: Phoenix Sports v Herne Bay u18s, Sunday 22nd March 2015, is 11:00 AM

Ladies

The Ladies are currently in 4th place in the League, 7 points behind leaders Dartford Royals, with 3 games in hand. It’s catch up time and a win on Sunday against Parkwood Rangers, who stole a point at Winch’s Field recently, could put Bay 2nd depending on results elsewhere. It will be a tough game against a resurgent Rangers and Bay will not want to lose ground in the race for the title with what could be a showdown with the leaders on Easter Sunday.

KO at Bexley Sports Park: Parkwood Rangers v Herne Bay Ladies, Sunday 22nd March 2015 is 2:00 pm
