Peter Guise previews the week ahead for Herne Bay Football Club.

Matches scheduled for week commencing Saturday 27th November 2015.

First XI

Following their impressive draw in Guernsey, who failed to score for the first time this season at home, the first team travel to South Park this Saturday. South Park are four places and two points above Bay but have played a game more.

KO at Whitehall Lane: South Park v Herne Bay, Ryman One South, Saturday 28th November 2015, is 3:00 PM

Game Two of the week sees the Bay on the road again with a trip to the outskirts of Crawley to take on Three Bridges. It’s another game against a side just above Herne Bay in what is a very competitive and tight league this term. Three Bridges have played two more games than Bay this season. Wins in both games will haul Bay back into play-off contention.

KO at Jubilee Walk: Three Bridges v Herne Bay, Ryman One South, Tuesday 1st December 2015, is 7:45 PM

U21s

In an up and down season for the U21s they return to Winch’s Field for the first of their December fixtures all of which are at home. First up is Hastings United on Wednesday night.

KO at The Altira Park Stadium, Winch’s Field: Herne Bay U21s v Hastings United U21s, Ryman U21 South, Tuesday 2nd December 2015, is 7:45 PM

U18s

The U18s are without a fixture this week.

Ladies

After their cup encounter with Carshalton in midweek, Herne Bay Ladies are back in league action this weekend with the visit of Crawley Wasps. Confidence will be high after the Ryman Cup success and there is also a score to settle as Wasps beat Bay, narrowly, earlier in the season in the reverse fixture.

KO at the Altira Park Stadium, Winch’s Field: Herne Bay Ladies v Crawley Wasps, London & South East Regional Women’s Football League (Premier Division), Sunday 29th November 2015 is 2:30 PM

We are now getting into the time of year when the weather can play a significant part in whether fixtures go ahead as planned. Check the various social media sites (see below) before you travel if in any doubt.
