After a 2 week break Bay came off worst in a good game.
Bay started brightly and were 1-0 up after 5 mins when Jacob Grosvenor broke through and scored. Bay held the lead for 10 mins before Herons scored the equaliser from the penalty spot after a handball decision. This gave Herons a boost and they soon scored again making it 2-1. Bay fought back and Robert Allison scored a beautiful volley 5 mins before half time to make it 2-2. Herons came out strongly for the second half and piled on the pressure which the Bay defence handled well. With almost continuous pressure Herons finally managed to break through and scored to make it 3-2 half way through the second half. This seemed to rattle Bay’s defence and Herons scored number 4. Bay cleared 2 efforts off the line but constant pressure from Herons and they soon added number 5. Bay’s heads dropped and Herons took advantage with goals 6 + 7 before the ref blew the final whistle. Man of the match was shared by Fenton Shakespeare and Robert Allison.
