It was with a great deal of personal sadness that I read Malcolm Vass' resignation statement today on a social media site. I am sure that everyone will join me in thanking him for the time and dedication that he has given to Herne Bay Youth Football Club in his many varied roles and wish him the very best in his future ventures. He has been a massive part of the Club for some considerable time and will be sadly missed.

However, in stepping into his shoes as Club Chairman, I would like to take this opportunity to confirm mine and the Club Committees determination in ensuring this great club continues to move forward in these exciting times with the support of our dedicated volunteers and members. I believe that together we can continue to make big steps in the clubs development and direction and so provide further opportunities and enjoyment for the players and members alike - lets start the ball rolling by joining for a productive and positive meeting at our AGM on 20 July at Studd Hill Community Hall at 7.30pm.

Thank you for your continuing support and I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at the AGM and working with you throughout the next season.
