Today we hope to enjoy our last rugby outing before the Christmas break and perhaps use the games to warm up our voices in preparation for the traditional Carols this evening.

Shelford will obviously hope to leave us today as ‘Party Poopers’ and their results in recent weeks have turned the form book upside down so I’m certain the coaches and squad will be taking nothing for granted as they strive to regain the top spot and match our table topping 2nd XV who will also be entertaining Shelford (and the Hertford faithful).

This seasons 2nd XV are playing some fantastic rugby and would really appreciate some support today. They KO at 2.00pm so why not watch half of that game before switching your attention to the Main pitch.

For the first time in many years the number of players playing in the 2’s who could slip seamlessly into the 1st XV is around the double figure mark. Perhaps this is what’s helping to drive the performances of the ‘shirt holders’ above.

It’s a great position to be in as a club but to keep this trend moving forward we need to acknowledge those lads and today is the ideal opportunity.
