Fighting the slope at Chelmsford
In our first quarter our A's for the day had to fight the whole 30 minutes for the slope at Chelmsford which can make all the difference to a game, combine with a cross wind it was quiet literally an uphill battle.
We were caught napping with a quick try inside 3 minutes by Chelmsford but despite this we had our chances to score ourselves with Louis Alywin and Louise Suarez both coming close and only use of the ball prevented us from finishing off our moves.
After a short break in play due to injury with Tom Jepras (we hope he is okay) Chelmsford run a brilliant line out where the player ran in blind side and despite the effort from Jack Standing to make it hard for him the Chelmsford player had the momentum to cross the whitewash in what was the last play of the third before we changed it up into the B's with some supporting players to then have their turn with the slope in their favour.
On another day, finishing our moves and a flat pitch the score I am sure would of been much closer if not a win, rather than the one this report presents.
