Bruised by Barnet
In the freezing cold
To keep the match report short we were not at the races today and Barnet took full advantage and left us rather bruised. Fair play to them.
They opened the scoring quickly and caught us knapping. We did carve out some chances of our own only to not be able to cross the white wash. Jack Standing and George wills both coming close.
Second half we started brighter and Finlay Powell making a return to the club scored a trade mark try mirroring how he used to in his previous stint with the club.
A period of stalemate then ensued and play switched back and forth over the half way line for a while. Finlay Powell had a further chance to add to his tally however Barnet rallied and stopped him in his tracks.
Unfortunatley then in a 4 minute spell Barnet scored three well finished break away tries to force home their dominance.
There was just about time for Joe Coleman to add a consolation try in what was our best play of the day. Shame we didnt see that sooner.
Man of the Match was to Jack Standing as given by coaches Ian and Rob for his determination and technical ability in the tackles made.
