In the first half Hertford defended strongly in their own half but a couple of quick runs down the wing saw OAs put in 2 tries. Then we started to pressurise the opposition not allowing the ball to get out wide. With more possession the home side were rewarded when they got the ball out to winger Lewis Broom. He was able to run the ball round the opposition to touch down close to the posts giving kicker Will Howell the chance to convert the try. At half time the score was 7-10 to OAs.
Within 2 minutes of the second half kicking off Lewis again showed his pace running in another try. For the next 15 minutes there was a passage of very competitive rugby with neither side managing to break through until Jason Bell powered over the line to score his first try this season. A few minutes later Jack Davey again drove over the line to see the gap widen in the scoreline. A final try by Riley Church converted by Will saw us to victory.
