U14 on the gate for Hertford vs Sutton and Epsom
Thanks to Nick and Max Robinson, Justin and Josh Protheroe, Dave and Jack Davey, George Giblett and Bob Cinnamon who joined me in collecting gate monies on Saturday. We had enough resources to cover the main entrance and the back gates, so we guaranteed a good take for the club.

We were also treated to something a try-fest in the first team game against Sutton and Epsom, although the tries were going in the wrong direction mid way through the second half as the visitors fought back to within a converted try of parity. Normal service eventually resumed with Hertford eventually running out winners.

After round 7/26 Hertford sit on 4th place with just 3 pts separating 1st to 4th place. Do keep coming up on a Saturday the next 3 fixtures against strong mid-table opposition will determine if a title challenge is a reality, your support really does help make a difference

U14 Train with Torran
A bright and breezy Sunday morning saw Hertford U14s working with Club Coach Torran MacDougal fresh after the first team win on Saturday. Torran continued his work in defense with defenders working in 3s to "chop and wrap" attackers, this has led to a visible improvement in games following his sessions. The forwards were given a scrummaging workout on one of the new scrum machines and the backs worked on creating a more layered attacking approach. All players were involved in a session where attacking space was the name of the game. We've been very lucky to have Torran for 3 straight training sessions and the squad has really appreciated his time - Thanks Torran

Training
This week the whole squad will rest on Weds as everyone enjoys the half-term break. Training resumes on Sunday 28th at Hoe Lane with a 10am PROMPT start - the session will run until midday.
***We are very lucky to have Torran MacDougal again this week!***

Player feedback sessions
One to one feedback sessions will be starting on Wednesday nights after half term - please drop me a note to book one in for you and your son.

Before their sessions players should prepare the following:
What's worked well for you this season?
What key skills you want to improve?
What have you contributed to the age group beyond just turning up?
