If Panthers win this coming weekend against Focus Ferrers the title will be solely ours. Currently as it stands Boreham would need to win their last game against Sporting 77 (Sporting 77 could finally help us this season instead of hinder us !!!) to share the title and we would need to lose. So no pressure boys win or draw is all that is needed !!!!

Burnham started the game well with some nice midfield play and with a good run of recent victories looked the better side. The breakthrough came for the visitors with a counter attack that took Heybridge by surprise leaving Kacper Banas no chance with a rifled shot tucking away into the bottom left hand corner 1 – 0 Burnham. Captain Matt Morley rallied Heybridge, the defence of Jack Whittaker and Oli Baker combined nicely and with that the momentum started to build with Henry Freeland, Toby Hume and Louis Barrell stringing together some good passes with Henry Freeland having a shot cleared off the line with the Burnham keeper playing particularly well.

The second half was totally dominated by Heybridge with Burnham defending for their lives but the ball would just not fall kindly for the Panthers until finally a breakthrough came with Burnham giving away a penalty 10 mins from time. Louis Barrell stepped and blasted one but the Burnham keeper made a fantastic save diving to his right and somehow held onto the ball !!! The pressure continued with wave after wave of attacks and finally Louis Barrell slotted Jack Price who finished well and secured a much needed 1 – 1 draw.
