The Rivals Finally Meet.
The Last game of 2011 saw Heybridge travel to their close rivals at Hatfield
The Last game of 2011 saw Heybridge travel to their close rivals at Hatfield. Unfortunately the weather was not very favourable with snow falling and bitter wind. However this dodnt put Heybridge off their game and they started passing the ball well with farmer being played on left midfield finding good space.
The first 10 minutes were evenly contested with both teams having chances. Farmer then put in a good cross from the left which Albone got the slighest of touches to steer into the corner. Hatfield then equalised with a finely taken individual goal on 16 mins. On 18 minutes a fine through ball from Shuttlewood saw Farmer who expertly finsished giving the keeper no chance.
Spreadbury was influencing the game finding the sapce and delivering good passes as well as tackling back.
The second half saw Shuttlewood carry the ball into the area and beat the keeper at his near post.
Again Hatfield to their credit came back into the game with a good goal. Albone and Farmer were starting to combine well with Farmer passing into Albone on the edge of the area and putting a right foot shot in of the post.
A great team performance to finish the year with Ball, McCarthy Murrel and Deakin all playing well in defence.#Man of the Match was Farmer
