HCC 2013 Fantasy Cricket - RULES

Objective
To pick a team of Heyford cricketers that will earn you the most points throughout the 2013 season. Teams must be selected and given to me prior to the first fixture of the season (April 27th) via phone, text, e-mail, facebook or in person. My number is 07932 694561, and e-mail is davidmalcolmbaker@hotmail.co.uk. The cost is £5 per team entered.
Team Selection
You must choose 6 players from the list. Each player has a value out of 10, several of them different to last season. The total value of your team of six must not exceed 45. Players will score points for their performances on the pitch and your team’s total will be worked out each week. Although the majority of points remain the same from last year, one new category is brought in with points now awarded for 'Unbelievable Tekkers' (previously called champagne moment): moments of individual brilliance in a game, as judged by the captain(s) on the day.
Transfer Window
There will be a mid-season Transfer Window which will open on Sunday 7th July and will close on Friday 12th July. During this time you can make a maximum of TWO changes to your team. Your changes must be communicated to me during this window and your team must still have six players and not exceed a total value of 45. Players removed from your team will immediately cease to earn points. Players added to your team will only earn you points from 13th July onwards. No retroactive points will be applied.
Scoring points
It is the captain or the vice-captain on the day's job to let David know of any specifics that could affect the above that cannot be discerned from the completed scorebook i.e. who was involved in run-outs, who dropped a sitter, who spat the dummy at getting out lbw etc. If David isn't told then points won't get scored (or deducted)!

Heyford CC Fantasy Cricket 2013 - player values and profiles
| Player | Value | Description |
| Ross Cambray | 10 | 'Statto' has hung up his calculator to focus full time on maintaining his status as number one fantasy point scorer from 2012. Over 200 runs and 30 wickets cement his all rounder status. Injury prone though... |
| Chris Peck | 10 | After feeling the pressure from the younger version of himself, Pecky responded by claiming bowler of the year, showing no signs of hanging up the knee strapping just yet |
| James Baldwin | 10 | Showing no signs of slowing, being second in the run charts and taking the fourth most wickets in the 1st team, Baldwin did not get a duck all last year in 19 innings, tempting fate... |
| Dave Livermore | 10 | Injury hindered the captains bowling statistics but still pulled out a top 5 fantasy score last year thanks to supreme batting, top scoring with 133. Can Dave fight against both his aging body and Rosco for that top fantasy scorer spot?? |
| Adam Linnell | 9 | Both teams want this cultured batsman for good reason, two centuries and aggressive run scoring mean he can change a game. Useful bowler too. |
| Matt Baker | 9 | 1st XI vice captain and keeper and the most successful Baker on the Heyford books, Matt got the 3rd most runs last year and backed that up with 8 catches and 5 stumpings to boost his fantasy total. |
| Rob Pardon | 9 | Batting points aren't required, Rob will pick up enough bowling points as the most heavily used bowler from 2012. Also benefited from safe hands, being joint top outfield catcher in the first team. |
| Laurence Buck | 9 | Leading wicket taker for the second team despite basically playing half the games of everyone else. Expect big points with the ball, and showed last year he can help the tail wag for a few runs. |
| Dion Harrison | 8 | Looking sharp from what I saw of him in town, Dion is eager for some cricket and will provide a healthy haul of points this year with bat and ball, even after taking off potential bad boy penalties following future Ashes disappointment. |
| Jordan Smith | 8 | The young player of the year last year for good reason, 'young Chris Peck' will take wickets, and is looking to avoid the sophomore slump. |
| Rory Smallbone | 8 | Flirts between and switches teams more in cricket than on a night out, watch out for classic technical leg side shots and cramping. |
| Shaun Boyson | 8 | A batting all rounder who will no doubt be looking to boost his fantasy total which took a dip last year. Good value for catches and a potential match winner. |
| Simon Legge | 7 | Club chairman and top order batsman looking to push on from a tally of 212 fantasy points last year, to help show the up and coming youth how it's done. |
| Alan Lovell | 7 | Not only a talented musician on the evidence of the presentation evening, but also a solid batsman and bowler. Time with the second eleven will give this former vice captain high scores. Limited appearances. |
| Tom Whittaker | 7 | Don't be surprised if he is seen scanning the poultry aisle in Sainsbury's after his club high 4 ducks last year. That aside a solid batsman who is good value for catches in the field, regardless of their difficulty. |
| Andy Baker | 7 | Second team captain so will play every week. Points likely to come via percentage of second team wins, rather than from the bat. |
| Kyle Browne | 7 | The highest scoring Browne last year, younger brother Kyle is one of the most promising youngsters to hit the Heyford scene. Already a solid 1st team member, he will be looking to improve on his tally of 6 wickets from 2012. |
| Andy Sharp | 7 | Don't expect bonus points for 6s but do expect a solid 20 plus runs each week. In a catching position and could chip in with the ball. |
| David Baker | 7 | Increased responsibilities this year include the vice captaincy. Therefore expect a turn out every week. Prone to a wide ball meaning there is at least 9 chances each over to take a wicket. |
| NEW Oscar Clarke | 7 | Young maverick swaggered into the seconds with ease last year, more of a bowler but happy to swing hard regardless of the situation. |
| Scott Browne | 6 | Another of the Browne boys, played 8 times for the 1st team last year and managed to chip in with a few runs, history suggests any turn out for the 2s would see big runs scored. Might bowl. |
| Ed Rogers | 6 | Clubman Ed took over more of a bowling role last year, but a genuine all rounder who, if available, could string a run of large scores together. Potential bargain. |
| Charles Wilkins | 6 | Up and coming future of Heyford, Charles has developed into a solid batsman over the last couple years, may be younger than he looks although he has the mind of a grumpy old man in the field. |
| Tom Akrigg | 6 | Being tour co-organiser and enjoying university likely to distract this valuable clubman, but will provide points with bat and ball. Selection chances improved thanks to the chocolate brownies. |
| Craig Browne | 6 | The final one of the Browne brothers who are both elusive and talented at the same time. More game time this year and large points are on offer for this wicket keeper/batsman. |
| Nick Inwood | 6 | Fields at slip so good for a couple of catches. If he gets in, expect run scoring in boundaries, solid clubman looking for more regular scores. Does not like the cold and wet. |
| NEW Calum Renshaw | 6 | Burst onto the scene last year with what should have been a 50 but for no help from the rest of the second XI. Could feature for both teams and a useful spin bowler. |
| NEW Tom Pearson | 6 | Young batsman who played a couple games last year almost taking a great catch in one and belting the opposition for a 6 in another. So much potential from such a young player. |
| Jonny Cooper | 5 | Solid middle order batsman who keeps and will be good for a couple of takes behind the stumps. Side effect is if he reaches the 40s, his party trick is to get out on 49. |
| Jacob Gilder | 5 | Limited to just one appearance last year so scoring will depend on availability and which team he lands in come the start of the season. |
| Ben Taylor | 5 | Debut season led to a string of ducks for this batsman as he floated between teams, but looks good in nets and more time at the crease for the second team will only help his average rise. |
| Mark Hobbs | 5 | Brains of the group, and finally looking to play some more this year, although there is a sense of déjà vu writing that. Bats and bowls and scores will depend on appearances. |
| Rob Dunkley | 5 | When he isn't becoming bagpipe world champion or injuring himself Rob tries to fit in a bit of cricket. Limited appearances likely to prevent huge point scoring, but another all rounder. |
| Mark Ferguson | 5 | One of the 'originals' from the second team, Fergy only managed to take to the crease 3 times last year. If available he has the potential to prove to be a bargain. |
