JOHN 'CLOUGHIE' MAGUIRE
It's with great sadness that we learnt of the sudden death of a much loved and welcome 'friend' and supporter of The Gate known to most as 'Cloughie'
'Cloughie' was a lovely genuine man who shared our dreams and aspirations of getting The Gate up amongst the higher realms of non-league football. Always finding time to come and watch the lads and enjoy a quick pint in the clubhouse after the game.
His son Adie who plays for the Gate informed us of the sad news this week and also added "He loved coming down The Gate, he'd even come and watch when I wasn't playing!"
Cloughie will be missed by us all here and Highgate United send our heartfelt condolences to Adie and the rest of John's family and friends.
