Highland prove too strong for spirited Gordonstoun.
Highland ran out convincing winners against Gordonstoun despite many of the lads being unavailable.
With many of players having jetted off to sunnier climes the under 14's were limited to a squad of 14 in the first of a double header against Gordonstoun.
Highland started the stronger with Gordonstoun slow to get the journey out of their system. In the first 20 minutes they ran in 6 tries with no response from the visitors.
Strong running, good support and excellent off loading were the key to this impressive opening period.
Gordonstoun rallied in the second period competing well at the breakdown and were rewarded with a well worked try.Highland, however, regained composure running in a further 3 tries prior to the break.
Highlands strength dominated the final 20 minutes with a number of well worked tries.
Highland can take a lot from this fixture, whilst they were well served by their established players it was pleasing to see some of this seasons recruits, particularly Will and Tommy, showing up well.
Gordonstoun put up a spirited display particularly in the second period, many of their lads were new to the game and with some additional game time the return fixture in November should be a closer affair.
Try scorers; Cailean (4), Alan (4), Calum (4), Hamish (2) and Dominic (1).
11 out of 15 conversion attempts were scored.
