On Sunday 17th March, Highland RFC will be holding its annual Minis rugby festival for the P4-7 age groups (the micros will have something lined up for that day too). This involves many teams and at present we have confirmation from
The day will also be a showcase for Highland as they will be achieving the Positive Coaching Scotland accreditation that day too.
To ensure our festival goes well, we need your help. Help can be in many different forms. Some of the areas we need help in are :
Catering for players – this is usually food brought in by families to be shared out to all teams.
Catering for spectators – this is usually a bring-and-buy stall
Car parking … helping ensuring cars and buses are parked safely
Sponsorship … does anybody know of any willing sponsors?
Pitching of “army” tents to act as additional changing areas
Laying out of pitches
Runners and helpers … to take scores and information around the pitches
…. and many more
I am therefore inviting you all along to the clubrooms at 10:00 Sunday 24th where we can discuss this and allocate some tasks. Primarily I am looking for a person(s) to lead each of the areas above but also for others to help out.
If you cannot make it on Sunday and are either willing to help or have some ideas, please let me know.
See you all then.
