Thanks to all that helped in yesterdays Highland RFC Mini festival. The festival was a massive success with parent and coaches work extremely hard to make sure the festival ran as smoothly as possible and that all the team were feed and watered (no mean feat). This festival would not have happened without Brian Crush devoting so much of his own time and effort to cause.
The festival was visited by two professional players from Edinburgh Rugby, Andrew Turnbull (wing and Scotland A) and Andrew Kelly (Hooker and Scotland A) Andrew Kelly said ?this is some of the best mini rugby I watched and the skill level of both teams is extremely high? he went onto say ?I am extremely impressed with the continuity of the game and Highland P6/7 counter rucking.? (Semi Finals Highland P6/7 ?V- Ellon P6/7). Alan Falcoenr (Highland D.O.) said ?it nice to see the Edinburgh players up supporting the clubs in the north and answering any questions the children had, thanks to both Andrews for making the long trip up and handing out flower to all the mums for mother?s day.?
The festival was a great success for both Highlands P4/5 and P6/7 with the P6/7?s running away 8-1 winners over Nairn in the final.
