The Strive team is working in association with Mackie RFC FPs rugby club and Stonehaven Cycling Club to stage a massive multi-event fundraiser in support of the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, established by Doddie Weir following his diagnosis with Motor Neuron Disease (MND).
The Group will be cycling over 700 miles in 5 days, visiting a number of Rugby Clubs along the way, where they will take part in 4 Doddie Gump Walks over the week.
The Cyclist are coming from Stonehaven and Thurso on the 1st August on Day 1 of their tour of Scotland and will be arriving at Highland Rugby Club for their first 5K walk.
We are looking to get as many club members Micros, Minis Youth boys and Girls Senior Player Coaches Committee, Parents and Friends to come and take part in the 5k Walk starting at the club at 6pm.
The walk will take us through the Ness Islands, along past the Castle, Cathedral and Eden Court, before finishing back at the clubhouse.
We are asking anyone to take part to wear Highland colours
Post Walk there will be Tartan Touch taking place.
Entry to the event is free, but we are asking for donations to be made to Supporting Doddie Weir and Kick MND into Touch. Further details can be found here: https://www.strive.buzz/
